Well, here goes.....
I began teaching at New River Elementary in 1994. At New River, I taught 2nd and 3rd grade. I went to Anthem Elementary in 1999 , where I taught 3rd grade. Then I moved to Sunrise, where I taught 2 nd grade for a year and the following years I taught 3rd grade. My first year at Desert Mountain I taught 4th grade. For the past 2 years, i have taught 1st grade and love it!
I currently have 2 Masters of Education. The first degree is in Elementary Education. The second degree is in Counseling.
In 2006, I was honored by being selected as a Deer Valley Teacher of the Year.
My daughter , Mikayla, is 6 (going on 20) and is a kinder student here and DMS. Tanner, my son, will turn 4 in February. If the man in the picture next to me looks familiar, it's because he's one of our wonderful PE teachers here at Desert Mountain.
For fun, I love to spend time with my family. Also, I've recently become addicted to digital scrapbooking. It's so much easier to store the supplies! :-)
